If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a lockdown, a dream list of musical heroes, and a bit of audacity collide, then you’ll love our recent conversation on the Americana Curious Podcast.
During the summer of 2020, when the world stood still, we—Stu McLamb and Charles Crossingham—found ourselves at a crossroads. Like so many artists, we faced uncertainty, isolation, and the pressing question: What now? But instead of waiting for inspiration to strike, we went looking for it.
That’s how our debut album became what Americana Curious called a musical “Brady Bunch”—a patchwork of incredible collaborations we never thought possible. We decided to reach out to some of our musical heroes, including Sharon Van Etten, Adam Lazzara (Taking Back Sunday), and Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters). And to our surprise, they said yes.
The result? A record that blends modern Americana with the spirit of collaboration, capturing a moment in time when creativity was our only way forward. It’s been called a modern Americana masterpiece, and we’re beyond grateful for the love it’s received.
